"Beautiful, welcoming and friendly retreat""

Right from our arrival Katrin and her family made us welcome and we immediately felt at home. Beautiful house, breathtaking location, stunning food and hospitality. We felt like family!
Our yoga and hiking sessions were simply the best. In the cool mountain air with rays of warm sunshine and peace and quiet we revelled in relaxation. Katrin certainly puts her heart and soul into this retreat assisted by Teresa, the yoga teacher. The mindfulness coaching each day was truly enlightening and we hope to carry on applying what we learnt now we are home.
So sad to leave after our 7 days as everyone was so lovely but we will definitely be back soon!!

Despite my 20 hour journey to reach Bodenmais from Singapore, it was definitely worth the long journey.
Cosy room with view of the village and rolling hills of forest, fresh crisp air, lovely cool weather with sunshine, daily energising morning yoga, daily long hikes of 3 to 5 hours in the dense Bavarian forest with lots of aromatic pine trees, breath taking views of rolling distant hills in the horizon and clear blue skies, serene lake, waterfalls, mushroom plucking after an overnight downpour, blooming colourful flowers along the streets and lining the balconies of the beautiful houses.
Bountiful apple and nectarine and plum trees, wholesome breakfast and lunch with sourdough bread and crisp fresh veg and fruits, cereal, cheese and ham and delicious dinner and desserts prepared with passion by Rosemarie chef and owner of Ofenstuberl a local cosy restaurant, friendly company. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I really enjoyed my retreat in Sonnenfels. I enjoyed the house, the yoga, the group and our walks.
I learned a lot, went through real development, but it was also a nice proper holiday, with laughter, friends, food and fun.
Katrin is a great group leader, always cheerful and willing to help, never too intrusive or pushing you to do something.
The most important thing that I took home from this retreat is that something really clicked there, to change my life, handle stress differently and make better choices. Four weeks later I'm still living it.

Ich habe gemeinsam mit einer Freundin an dem Digital Detox Retreat teilgenommen und wir sind einer Meinung, dass diese 4 Tage eines der besten Erlebnisse in unserem Leben waren. Alles war perfekt.
Katrin und Ute waren wunderbare Gastgeber, Trainer, Zuhörer, Berater, neu gewonnene Freunde und wundervolle Menschen! Die Location liegt traumhaft schön in den Bergen mit Blick über das Dorf, die Yoga und Meditationseinheiten im Freien waren sehr inspirierend, die Wanderungen im Bayrischen Wald eine Wohltat für Körper und Geist und es gab immer genug Zeit zum Ausruhen und Entspannen.
Auch die Herausforderung des digital detox war sehr spannend und wohltuend. Alles in Allem ist dieser Trip wärmstens zu empfehlen und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal :-) Ein großes Dankeschön an Katrin und Ute für diese tolle Zeit und wundervolle Erfahrung - ich bin mir ganz sicher, wir sehen uns wieder :-)
"My 8 Days Recharge Body & Mind experience with Sonnenfels Retreats"

"Katrin and her team have created a great wellbeing environment. The Recharge Body & Mind Retreat was a mix of yoga, coaching, meditation, conscious and healthy nutrition, me time, recreation, exciting mountain tours and simply enjoying nature.
First I thought - oh dear, having a fixed agenda during my holidays could be stressful - however, the retreat week offers exactly the right balance between all the activities and you can also take a break from any planned activity, so everybody is free to decide and go with his own flow.
There is enough time to slow down, you will be inspired and daily thought provoking questions and quotes will help you to reflect on you and your life (when do you ever take the time in your daily life to do so?).
On arrival, a journal is waiting for you in your room in order to take notes of your thoughts and experiences during your retreat and beyond. I often look back into my journal to get back into this positive mindset for my daily life.
Often you easily fall back into your daily grind. However, the key take away for me personally was that change is in my hands and that I can influence my quality of life thanks to it. Conscious living and truly living your life!

When I decided to participate in the Recharge Body & Mind Retreat, I noticed that you can also book individual coaching sessions.
I had not been very satisfied with certain areas of my life, had been unsure about how to tackle or change those aspects and thus decided without hesitation: I am going for the individual coaching sessions.
Katrin has helped me to understand my status quo in the different life areas, led me to important realisations to actively change things by applying insightful methods. It often takes me a while to digest all those new impulses as you suddenly become aware of so many things.
Every session I moved forward and changed, although I only realised this after I was back home or back in my daily routine. I could look at difficult situations that caused stress in the past with a different perspective.
Katrin has showed me through her coaching that change is in your hands and it is up to you how you live your life with a conscious mind. She has helped me to recognise the things that I truly want and those which no longer serve my purpose as well as pushing me to grow beyond my own limits.
I continue to take coaching sessions with Katrin as the retreat was only the beginning of the journey towards myself and I couldn’t imagine a better coach than her to accompany me on this journey.
I realised during my retreat week what potential lies within me and what I need for my new beginning. The combination of coaching, hiking, yoga and meditation were the right mix for me to find the courage, energy and trust in my to find back to my real self again.
When I got there I was tired and exhausted whereas on the way back every part of me was simply smiling and shining. The delicious alkaline food played a big part, every day we were surprised with a new taste experience - and I finished the first time in my life 4 portions of a meal that’s how tasty it was ☺
I haven’t taken such a big deep breath in a while! And I can proudly say that the impact of this week is sustainable. I approach my daily life in a more conscious way and follow through on my resolutions e.g. regularly spend some time in nature. I have made myself a priority.
Katrin and her team successfully created a calm environment full of peace, relaxation and awareness that allows you to completely let go and where you are surrounded by great people.
Not any words can describe this magical and unique time accurately enough - you simply have to experience it yourself!

I came to the Recharge Body & Mind Yoga, Hiking and coaching retreat in September in 2018.
It exceeded all my expectations. Yoga teacher was great and really knew her stuff. The rooms were comfortable and cosy. Hearty breakfasts and dinners. Great hikes in the beautiful Bavarian Forest.
Katrin has an ability to create a warm and safe atmosphere in which things can unfold. The light touch coaching sessions were surprisingly challenging and very helpful.
I honestly come back from this week with a refreshed perspective on my life. Thank you!
